About the Book:

The Maverick's Journey is a collection of sixty poems. While writing poetry about what the poetess saw and felt, she started finding herself. New feelings or maybe latent feelings began to surface and totally new views about things started coming to her mind and so she calls it a journey. Out of confusion, beautiful verses were born when she started jotting down the feelings of her new journey.

The first poem is totally about her mind’s journey titled, “My New Journey” and the rest are of her travels and her mental journey to being a more superior human being. The poems have been divided into five sections - Happiness, Wonder, Transition, Joy and Love.

About the Author:

Dr. Paramita Mukherjee Mullick is a scientist, educationist and an author. A national scholar from the University of Calcutta, she did her Ph.D. in Genetic Toxicology from the same with the coveted CSIR scholarship from the Government of India, way back in 2003. She has been actively involved in education for more than two decades being a school teacher then a lecturer in a degree college and then a principal of a junior college. Presently she is associated with NABET, a concern of the Government of India helping in quality management of schools. She has had more than hundred visits in schools all over India. She has her own consultancy of soft skills, effective communication and life coaching. She is a well respected expert of the above and all big corporate organisations and colleges all over Mumbai invite her for trainings of the same.

Dr. Paramita has published numerous scientific papers in international and national journals and is a regular writer of scientific articles in newspapers. She loves travelling around the world and so innumerable travelogues have been published in magazines. Many of her parenting and life skill articles are quite popular. Her love for children has been reflected in her story book for children, “Stories from Fantasy Land”. “Life- A Collection of Poems” is her first compilation of poems. She is an Executive editor of an international magazine of literature called Kafla Intercontinental and received the Sahitya Shree Award in the 11th International Writers’ Festival. She lives in Mumbai with her lawyer husband and a very talented daughter.
