N T Unnikrishnan is a technology and governance professional, essayist, and lifelong observer of science, society, and human affairs. Born in 1948, he earned his Master's degree from IIT Madras in 1969 and began his career with ISRO, working in remote sensing at SAC, Ahmedabad and VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram.
He later spent 27 years in the UAE, specialising in aerial photography, mapping, and GIS, and served as a Senior Consultant to the Abu Dhabi Government's Spatial Data Infrastructure programme.
His diverse professional journey has shaped his interest in the connections between science, technology, philosophy, spirituality, governance, and society.
Writing from Bengaluru, he brings together decades of experience and reflection in this, his first collected work of essays.
