About Book and Author

I was born in Mumbai. Software Engineer by profession, I have worked with MNC for 7 years. I am blessed with an artistic mother. She has a creative instinct towards drawing, cooking, singing, dance, poetry, clay work, craft, and what not. As a child, I was always left awestruck! I have taken a tinge of all her shades and have been a learner ever since. 

Recently I have facilitated a workshop 'I am Poem' wherein I have tried to combine art and poetry to help and in a way heal participants. Amateur poets, or people who stood at a distance from poetic writing have started a new journey of compositions after experiencing this workshop. Skilled poets enjoyed fusion of art and words. This way, God has helped me to reach more people and share the creativity.

The first song I composed was for my daughter when she was just 6 months old. It was in my mother tongue, Marathi. Thereafter, I composed a few poems in Hindi and English as well, for her. My daughter and I used to enjoy responding to each other in sentence constructs that rhymed. Last year, I opted as a class teacher in Swadhaa Waldorf Learning Centre, Pune. The poems and songs that were born in association with children, are a part of this book now. During Edition 3 of the same contest, I felt the urge to stop time bound writing for any competition and that I shall only document organic, natural strings of thoughts. I also expressed in one of the poems, how I can't merely compose a poem for the sake of contest. 

This is my first book of poems, out of which few will be included in the song book soon. Many others will have to wait until a new book is compiled. I thank Storymirror for creating opportunities for poets/authors through a digital platform.

I am in deep gratitude to the Only source of Energy, The Almighty to have blessed me with wonderful family and friends, who have supported me in all my crazy endeavors and kept the spark in me alive.
