About the Book:

This book is a collection of five short stories. These stories depict love, affection, suppression, hope, and separation happening in human life.

The story Decency of Patriarchy tells about a patriarchal society or community based on patriarchal lines. This is commonly seen all around. Look around and we will see traces of patriarchy in the air we breathe. Women are largely excluded or suppressed from the main spheres of their own life.

The Renaissance tells the story of a Brahmin girl who resurrected from her fettered life. It shows the power of hope and humanism.

The Rain tells the power of separation and agony. At the same time, it also shows the power of silent love.

Nandu the little girl depicts innocence and affection in its natural sense.

The agony of love is a story that draws the shades of unrealized love and its persistence in the human mind.

Through these stories, the author wants to bring out light to humanity and hope which in turn provides mental peace.

About the Author:

Kadambari is the pen name of Silpa Shibu. Silpa Shibu is an M.C.A. graduate and a senior secondary teacher in a C.B.S.E school, situated in Thrissur, Kerala. She was born and brought up in Kerala. She is married to Shibu Rajan. She has two children. Her parents are T.A.Sakthidharan and Meera.T.S. Her only sibling is her brother Manu T.S.
