About the Book:
Jyothi Menon’s sixth book, The Angry Earth, is written with a rare passion that intermingles fantasy with purpose. We experience the shifting world through the eyes of a Special Child Pooja who befriends lost aliens Pan and Bia from a distant planet in her backyard.
Her scientific, geeky friend Hari is intrigued. The tradition-bound local shaman Karma Palan is hardly surprised. What’s going on?
Will Pooja and friends manage to send the aliens safely back home?
Do the aliens have a message for Pooja and the rest of us? Will Hari’s genius decode their purpose here on earth? Will the local shaman’s magic throw
any light on what the aliens are up to?
By the time you finish, you will find yourself immersed in the rich
world of tea estates, indigenous tribes, forests and ancient traditions
long forgotten. But you will also understand where we have failed
in taking care of our planet.
The Angry Earth is an important book because its powerful storytelling leads you to a dramatic realisation: Our planet needs our protection.
Before we can safely hand it over to future generations.
“From alien sightings to ancient cultures, from parenting to activism, this work is generously peppered with imagination… The Angry Earth opens our minds to the concept of ‘connectedness’. This book is a must read for all… it should find a permanent place in the libraries of schools, colleges and corporations.”

About the Author
Jyothi Menon is a multi talented personality. She is a prolific writer and a painter. The Angry Earth is her 6th Book.
Jyothi began writing The Angry Earth after witnessing one of the worst ecological disasters that Kerala had witnessed in 2018 – described as the worst catastrophic flooding and the disaster of the century on television. The horror that was ravaged upon the people, the land, the animals was unbearable to watch.
A discussion ensued with a close circle of friends – What are we leaving for our children?
That discussion left a lasting impression upon her mind and thus was born The Angry Earth.
The Angry Earth is about the Earth Speaking to Man. The Angry Earth is a call to stop the madness.
Once you read the book – then perhaps you can ask yourself this pertinent question – What am I leaving for my children?
Is clean air, water, soil and a healthy bio-diversity too much to ask for? - www.jyothimenon.in
