About the Author:



Shiva Kumar Tripathi served All India Radio first as a broadcaster, and later as a senior administrator, holding several high positions in the institution. A gifted storyteller and broadcaster, he is remembered for his live, poignant, eye-witness accounts of Gandhi Ji's and Nehru Ji's final journeys. A critic and columnist, he regularly wrote and published thought-provoking pieces for newspapers and magazines. A voracious reader and a prolific writer, he wrote and published several collections of plays, poems, and stories. After a lifelong research and study, both in India and the U.S., he wrote and published

“A Garden of Deeds”, a critical monologue on one of the greatest epics of India, The Ramacharitmanas. He also authored articles on faith, religion and philosophy for The Encyclopedia of Hinduism published by the South Carolina University Press.
